Fanning the fire of war

July 15, 2007

The following may sound like sympathy towards the Radical Muslims to some, but let there be no mistake, I personally despise their terrorist killings of humans as much as I despise our own excuses for killing. What should have started out as a worldwide investigation of the 9/11 terrorist attack, with all the responsible people brought to justice and punished, ended up with a conflict that can’t be won! Bending our own beliefs to stoop to an “Eye for an Eye’” mentality has played into the hands of the Radical Muslims mandate.

Let me begin by saying that blaming terrorism on the Muslim’s in general is like blaming the Mafia on Catholics. Many Christians fail to understand the fact that Muslims believe in the same God and Garden of Eden as the Christians with naturally some exceptions, a couple of which is the worshiping of Jesus as the Son of God or the Virgin Mary. When questioning why Muslim’s don’t believe in Jesus, the response was “Do you really think God would actually stick his hand into a woman, and create a person to be worshiped ahead of himself?
The Qur’an, to a practicing Muslim is a literal guide to life and Allah is the personal name of their one true God. Nothing else can be called Allah, the term has no plural or gender. This to them shows its uniqueness when compared with the word God, which can be made plural, gods, or feminine goddess. It is interesting to notice though that Allah is the personal name of God in Aramaic, the language of Jesus and a sister language of Arabic.
When a Practicing Muslim prepares to pray, he literally washes his feet and will view Muslims who have taken the latitude to symbolically gesture in the cleansing, and other like infractions, as not true Muslims. These strict beliefs expand to the Muslim rule that anyone entering your house (i.e. Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq etc.) uninvited can be driven out or killed and their view of what they are now doing is precisely that. Another interesting fact is the “Muslim Caliph” is the only person in the Muslim religion to authorize a terrorist act that would result in the Muslim selected becoming a true martyr, though it is noted that if a male is the only son of a Muslim family he cannot become a martyr.

The 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center was a symbolic act against all nations that supported Christianity, friends of the Jewish world or even those who support a democracy. It was apparent that the brutal attack resulted in far greater damage than what was expected and even Osama ben Laden was surprised at the extent of the destruction. Our government’s response to the terrorist attack was foolish, sever and swift, though not supported by some nations and not approved by the United Nations, we bombed Afghanistan in an attempt to eliminate the terrorist groups and Osama ben Laden. The belief of “An Eye For An Eye” is understood by Radical Muslims, and considering 911 for example they expected that to occur, but they find it unbelievable that one more life was taken in retribution than what died during that attack, while still believing their terrorist attack was warranted!
After the bombing of Afghanistan, President Bush declared victory, and to describe our efforts he used the word “CRUSADE”; that was either the worst word in the English language to use, or the most defamatory word to enrage the Muslim world. When the word was uttered, it solidified Radical Muslims true belief of a Christian crusade against Muslims as being the original reason for the bombing of Afghanistan. Most Christians believe spreading the word of God is naturally a good thing, but shortly after the bombing, the Red Cross and other Christian groups sent packages at Christmas time to the children of Afghanistan and couldn't resist including a Bible, which Radical Muslims naturally viewed as the Crusade now was aimed at converting their children to Christianity.
Muslims that we consider radical consider themselves as “Practicing Muslims” and regard all other religions including the rest of the Muslim world, along with Atheists as sinners. Using a piece of paper as a visual, the edge would represent the latitude of the Radical Muslims interpretation of the Qur’an, and the flat broad surface of the page would represent the remaining world religions interpretation of the Qur’an and the Bible. With the arrogance of our government’s belief that world opinion of the bombings of Afghanistan could be rectified, and flowers would be thrown at our feet, if the tyrant Saddam Hussein were driven from power and we replaced his dictatorship with a democracy. The under estimation there is, Radical Muslims consider it an extreme sin to live within a democracy, as they view a democracy as a western political society and life style that worships all material things before Allah [i.e. Homes, cars, free enterprise, clothing, pornography and ect.]. Their solid belief is that a democracy, above all must be driven from their house and further more consider it a sin not to expel un-welcomed intruders from their country.
The word “Crusade” drove many Muslims to the edge of the paper. Sending Christian Bibles to their children drove more, killing Saddam Hussein and trying to replace their political system with a democracy, convinced even more to convert back to the narrowest interpretation of the Qur’an, and now the mendacious rhetoric continues to drive more daily with each killing and protest. I heard a foolish statement on the news today that sums up the general public’s knowledge of Terrorists, they mentioned that daily, more and more Muslims are being “Radicalized”. Wrong, they have been learning the teachings of the Qur’an since birth, the one’s joining daily are the precise one’s that are being pushed or pulled to the edge of the paper and what they are being taught, is how to prepare themselves to be a terrorist, not further explanations of the Qur’an. I have also heard the statement “Why can’t the Muslims and the Jewish settle their differences like good Christians”, sadly I’m afraid for those that believe that, have no idea of the extent of a Radical Muslims resolve towards their 24/7 faith.
For those that tell us we are there because we don’t want to fight the battle on our soil, I’d have to say that we should be more concerned with what we are creating in the Radical Muslim’s tenacity toward a Holy war, rather than the Terrorist’s Air force, Navy and Army. Keep in mind that a terrorist is a terrorist because he does not have an Air Force, Navy or Army, but may organize to that point if the rhetoric continues to expand. Continuing to drive more to the fight can escalate in the disruption of world order. If only I could bring myself to believe that a QUARTET was still the meaning for harmony, instead of a formation of nations to balance the misdirected power of the United States.
For those that believe we are involved in this conflict for only humanitarian reasons, it should also be pointed out that the cycle of United States wars over past decades has created a tremendous amount of wealth within the nation. It has always been difficult to transfer money from the government to the businesses of the nation, without the cloak of war. The amount has been growing expeditiously with each Congress approved financial appropriation that the administration has asked for. At this time it’s been stated that the new government in Iraq will need approximately seven billion dollars for the year to finish it’s programs needed to set up their systems, and yet in the same week it was noted the our government administration is now spending twelve billion dollars a month to support the war.” The people gave me the money and I’m going to spend it”, President Bush articulated this statement very clear, after winning his second election. The highest percentage of the appropriated funds that are increasing the wealth of the nation, are being channeled to businesses that support the war machine. This money is now out of the government loop and in the hands of businesses, and the next administration will have to rely on our income taxes to replace the deficit.
Presently the majority of U.S. citizens are clamoring for the administration to end the war, but President Bush has taken unprecedented power to continue the war with yet another excuse for a delay to talk to his General this coming September. Other than asking when, it may be more appropriate to ask, when will the funneling end and the money finally be exhausted? The next step, as history repeats itself, will be the pointing out of all the material obsolescence of war, which will be sold off to other nations good and bad, and then start rattling that sword at Africa. I understand the ground troops of the U.S., Britain and France are now heading to Africa this coming week of August first 07. They will have a mandate to halt the despicable genocide occurring in Darfur, this time with the support of many world nations, and I’d hope we would use sensible tactics rather than collateral killing of innocent people.

President Herbert Hoover 1929-1933 [R] and President Jimmy Carter 1977-1981 [D] were the only two Presidents that served during peacetime since World War One.

1914-1918World War I Woodrow Wilson [D] 1913-1921Triple Alliance: Germany, Italy, and Austria-Hungary vs. Triple Entente: Britain, France, and Russia. The United States joined on the side of the Triple Entente in 1917.

1939-1945 World War II Franklin D Roosevelt [R] 1933-1945Axis Powers: Germany, Italy, Japan vs. Major Allied Powers: United States, Great Britain, France, and Russia when events began happening in Europe that would eventually lead to World War II, many Americans took an increasingly hard line towards getting involved. The events of World War I had fed into America's natural desire to isolationism, and this was reflected by the passage of Neutrality Acts along with the general hands off approach to the events that unfolded on the world stage. Increasing tensions while America was wallowing in neutrality and isolationism, events were occurring in Europe and Asia that were causing increasing tension across the regions. These events included: Totalitarianism as a form of government in the USSR (Joseph Stalin), Italy (Benito Mussolini), Germany (Adolf Hitler), and Spain (Francisco Franco), a move towards fascism in Japan, with the creation of Manchukuo, Japan's puppet government in Manchuria, beginning the war in China and the conquest of Ethiopia by Mussolini, the revolution in Spain led by Francisco Franco, and Germany’s continuing expansion including taking the Rhineland. The worldwide Great Depression. World allies with large debts, many of which were not paying them off. America passed the Neutrality Acts in 1935-37.

1950-1953 Korean War Harry S Truman [D] 1945-1953 United States (as part of the United Nations) and South Korea vs. North Korea and Communist China Korean War The Korean War (1950–1953) was a civil struggle that originated in the division of Korea after World War II, and entered into a phase of conventional war on 25 June 1950, when North Korean forces crossed the dividing line and invaded the South. Soon the United States entered the fighting under the banner of the United Nations, along with small contingents of British, Canadian, Australian, and Turkish troops. In October 1950, Chinese forces in large numbers joined the war on the North's side. By the time a cease-fire agreement was signed on 27 July 1953, U.S. casualties were 33,629 dead and 103,284 wounded. South Korea had lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers and over a million civilian lives. Although no precise figures exist for Communist losses, North Korea suffered perhaps 3 million military and civilian casualties and the obliteration of nearly every modern building, and China lost almost 1 million soldiers. The 1953 armistice ended the fighting, but Korea remained divided for decades thereafter and subject to the possibility of a new war at any time.
